Work Experience
Paid Skills Opportunity - Project Relic
Project Relic is a paid, fun, hands-on opportunity for five young people aged 18–25 to get up close with real local history. Over eight weeks (on Tuesdays), you’ll work together in a friendly, supportive setting to explore the Eastbourne Local History and Archaeological Collections. You will learn how to handle, catalogue, and care for genuine artefacts, along with approaches to sharing historical finds with the public.
You will be supported by Towner’s Heritage and Learning teams, and working in a new collections store in Hampden Park, Eastbourne.
With plenty of chances to discover hidden stories and build practical skills, it’s a unique way to gain experience, meet like-minded people, and be part of caring for Eastbourne’s ancient past.
